Jackson EMC is seeking applications for a Manager, Talent Acquisition and Onboarding to work in the Human Resources Department at the Corporate Office in Jefferson, Georgia.

The Manager, Talent Acquisition and Onboarding position is responsible for the planning, development, and direction of comprehensive talent acquisition, diversity, and compliance programs to meet the needs and objectives of Jackson EMC. This position requires knowledge of the full lifecycle of recruiting and hiring, as well as Human Resources Management Systems. Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Manages posting of all JEMC position openings, from requisition and approval to posting internally and externally on the website and with Department of Labor.
- Manages recruitment and selection processes, outreach, screening, interviewing, job offers to new employees.
- Oversees management of JEMC’s diversity efforts, affirmative action plan and compliance programs consistent with all pertinent federal and state laws and regulations.
- Establishes and maintains internal and external customer relations.
- Oversees Jackson EMC careers and recruiting websites, participates in career and job fairs.
- Manages work-based learning programs including college interns, high school youth apprentices and job shadowing.
- Manages process of internal employee transfers and promotions.
- Ensures review of employment applications and required forms for accuracy and completeness. Ensures verification of I-9 and employment eligibility through E-Verify. Maintains personnel files and HRMS.
- Participates in short and long range planning for workforce and manpower projections.
- Analyzes and establishes performance measures and metrics to measure outcomes.
- Assists in overall planning, design & function of the HR Department’s processes and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (master’s degree preferred) in business administration, human resources management, organizational development, or related degree is required.
- Five years of progressively responsible human resources experience required (preferably with an electric utility or service type organization). A minimum of the most recent three (3) consecutive years’ experience in recruiting, hiring, and employment responsibilities; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job is required.
- Supervisory, HR compliance, diversity and inclusion, and behavioral interviewing experience preferred and SHRM and/or HRCI certification is highly desired.
Compensation & Benefits include:
The starting salary for the position will be based upon the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate; starting salary is expected to be in the range of $95,000-$105,000. The Cooperative offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision and life insurance, excellent retirement plan, paid time off and negotiable relocation expenses.
